Christy D. Barbo
My name is christy Barbo. I was born and raised in Coushatta, Louisianna and moved to Tennessee in 1989. I have been a resident of Tennessee ever since and plan on remaining here.
Financial Aid is my life. I have worked in Higher Education for approximately nine years. I have worked for two Universities and one Community College in the Tennessee Board of Regents System. I worked for five years at Middle Tennessee State University as a Loan Clerk, and then for three years at Pellissippi State Technical Community College and the Loan Coordinator. I am currently employed at Tennessee State University as the Loan Coordinator in the Office of Student Financial Aid for the past year.
I really enjoy working with the students and helping them find a way to either attend school or stay in school. To be able to show someone the idea of receiving an education can be attainable is very rewarding.
